Current Weather Situation and Future Developments
A low pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea in combination with a high
pressure system over the Bight directs a fresh and gusty westerly air stream
over the region producing isolated light showers chiefly over the western ranges
today. As the low moves east on Sunday the winds will moderate and the isolated
shower activity will contract to the Alpine areas and clear. Fine and sunny
weather with cold frosty nights are expected to persist during the new week as a
ridge of high pressure develops across southeast of the continent.

Cloudy periods with just the chance of a light shower or two chiefly on western
ranges. Fresh and gusty westerly winds.
