What do the maps show?

These maps show the average annual rainfall over the specified 10, 20 or 30-year period. They are useful in identifying longer-term variations in Australia's rainfall patterns over the last 100 years. For example, you can compare the average rainfall during a decade close to the beginning of the century, with the average rainfall in a more recent decade.
